We are pleased to announce that the AAC Website has now been officially launched.

Message from Bilal Kadiri (AAC Founder):

I have been overwhelmed by the positive response and messages of support from the academic community and I would like to wholeheartedly thank you all for your kind sentiments.

In relation to the website itself, despite it now being fully functional, it is still very much in the infancy stage. It is hoped that over the coming weeks, we will be able to beef up the contents of the site by adding more open access materials, as well as updating all the researcher profiles (only a handful have been fully created). For those who have yet to submit a research profile highlighting your work, you may still do so by completing the attached form: https://goo.gl/forms/Nz2WO3Byc9yYoIn63. We will also be adding many new features to the site over the coming months, as well as SEO optimizing the site to ensure it has more visibility in web searches.

Additionally, over the course of our ‘launch week’ we will be releasing blog articles on the following four topics:

  • Bilal Kadiri’s interview with Adil Ray: Creator and lead character of the BBC sitcom Citizen Khan
  • BOOK FEATURE: Baker, P. (2017) American and British English. Divided by a Common Language?Cambridge: Cambridge University Press.
  • AWARD RECEPIENT: Lynne Bowker
  • FEATURED RESEARCHER: Laurence Anthony
  • RISING STAR: To be confirmed (TBC)

I welcome you to have a browse of our website and should you have any suggestions for additional features to the site or would like to put forward some constructive criticisms, please leave your comments in the section below.

I once again thank you for your support and I look forward to your future cooperation in this project.

Kind Regards,

Bilal Kadiri
